I am going to try to keep up with my blog and post a little more frequently. An early March snowstorm has left our area buried in almost 9 inches of beautiful white snow and given a lot of kids in the area a snowday! I am taking full advantage of the day with a little cleaning, baking and sewing. I am off now to do a little shoveling and to deliver some freshly baked bread to neighbors. Plans are to do more sewing on the I spy quilt for little Maren. Crock pot chicken is cooking and Brian and Katherine will join us dinner. I hope to post some quilt pictures soon.

Off to a great start.
Just finished the binding on the 4th quilt of the year. Hopefully I can figure out how to post pictures without too much struggle. I find if I keep myself on the "find 15 minutes a day to sew" I get quite a bit done. It certainly helped having yesterday off from work. Boy I sure could get a lot done if I didn't go to work. I am amazed that the school year is half over. Spring break will be here before I know it. Its getting to be time to think about starting seeds for the garden. Phew there is plenty to keep me busy. Its time to figure out these pictures.

2 Weeks
Already January 14th. WOW time is flying by quickly. I have been able to squeeze in a little sewing here and there and I am sure like many sewers wish I could fit in more.
Spent last night helping Brian stain his new kitchen island. His first home is sure coming together nicely. Anyways back to sewing. So far this year I have completed one quilt, binding and all. Another is ready to be loaded on the quilter, with yet another waiting for its borders to be added. I really want to work on using up the fabric I have, especially all the flannel that is boxed and screaming to be used. I have been putting together fabrics to make some Quickie Strippies. The pattern can be found here http://www.maryquilts.com/quick-strippie/ I love this pattern, along with many of Mary's patterns.
A couple errands to run and then hopefully the rest of the day can be spent sewing. Happy Saturday.

A new year a new.
2012. As the new year begins I have decided to try a new way to keep track of things in my life. Through this blog I hope to keep a listing of quilts I am working on, quilts I am have completed and those quilts I hope to some day to begin. I am guessing there will be a smattering of daily trials and tribulations that all play a part of who I am. There is bound to be a HUGE learning curve with this new endeavor, but the plans are for this to be fun and not a chore. With that said, let the party begin, and Happy New Year!
